Everyone has a podcast. Doctors, magazines, celebrities, sport figures, DIY experts and true crime professionals to add to the mix. There are lots of EMS based podcasts. Inside EMS, NAEMSP, Words Off The Street, Medic Mindset and of course Medic2Medic Podcast to name a few.
Our shows have a path, message and topics we like to talk about. These topics may be clinical, topic based, storytelling, personal and cool insight to what EMS is all about. Please support your EMS podcast. I am sure there is one out there that will fit your needs.
Great news for my podcast Medic2Medic as of last week the podcast hit 20,000 combined downloads and listens. This little podcast continues to grow and gains listeners from Canada, USA and New Zealand. The spread of the podcast is done via word of mouth and social media. There is no weekly sponsor or advertiser. You can find this podcast at Spreaker, Soundcloud, iTunes, and Podbean. The podcast is closing in on 100 episodes. This week is episode 98.
Ginger Locke is the creator and host of the podcast Medic Mindset a Paramedic and an Associate Professor of EMS Professions at Austin Community College. Ginger’s podcast is cool and unique as she interviews medics face to face in long, intimate format. During the interviews the medics open up about their mindset, routines, mistakes and their thought process. Ginger started a project called Partner Project (#partnerproject) that has gone viral just not in the United States, but Internationally. We discuss #partnerproject and how it came about, the podcast, how did the name Medic Mindset was derived and her beginnings in EMS. Below are the links to this podcast.
